Recognizing which idea is a good one is extremely difficult. It is a special skill, I think. Once I know how to do it, I will let you know! :)
I think the secret is to believe in your ideas at first and then subject it to critical tests. The problem most of us have is that we tend to not think our ideas are good, and we discard them.
